Stickers[]
Stickers are flat images that can be slapped on many things. Material, Objects, or even Sackboy!
There are 17 categories of stickers, titled: Accessories, Animals, Architecture, Body, Colors, Concepts, Decorative, Doodles, Face, Foliage, Food, Numbers, Objects, Realistic, Scenic, Signs and Text.
Decorations[]
Decorations are three-dimensional items that can be slapped on anything, similar to a sticker, but these things pop out far more than flat stickers!
There are 24 different categories of decorations, titled: Accessories, Animals, Architecture, Basic Shapes, Bits And Bobs, Characters, Clothing, Cogs, Contraptions, Decorative, Effects, Electrical, Equipment, Fixings, Foliage, Food, Jewellry, Knobs, Lights, Musical, Pipes And Tubes, Scenic, Thin Objects, and Vehicles.
In LittleBigPlanet 2 and later games, certain decorations can have its colour tweaked to match the colour of the object its attached to, it could work of players too!
Creating stickers[]
It is possible to create stickers in games other than LittleBigPlanet PSP. The methods available vary by game.
Using real life cameras[]
If a PlayStation Eye is connected to the PlayStation 3 and the player has collected a PlayStation Eye sticker, they can create personalized pictures by pointing the PlayStation Eye at the desired subject, opening the Popit Menu, choosing the Stickers & Decorations icon and selecting the PlayStation Eye Camera page. They may then select a sticker shape and move it around the scenery: when it's in the right place, they must simply press to capture the image and 'stick' it to the level. This is also possible with LittleBigPlanet PS Vita with its internal camera and LittleBigPlanet 3 on PlayStation 4 with the PlayStation Camera.
Taking a screenshot[]
It is possible to take a widescreen picture of the game to create a new sticker. The dimensions are fixed and cannot be changed, nor can it be made transparent.
Painting new stickers[]
LittleBigPlanet 2: Move Pack: Rise of the Cakeling introduced a new method of creating stickers. Using the PlayStation Move motion controller, it is possible to create custom stickers that are possibly transparent in a special Paint mode.
It isn't possible to use screenshots or DLC stickers/decorations as stamps, likely as a preventative measure to stop users from creating DLC free versions of the paid DLC stickers.
LittleBigPlanet 3 changed it so that the paint mode can be used with regular controllers instead of the motion controller.
Obtainment Method[]
Stickers and decorations are usually obtainable by playing the story mode's levels. Others can be instantly obtained by purchasing a DLC pack from the store. Custom stickers can be acquired by playing community levels with some Prize Bubbles containing them.
Trivia[]
- Three other Sticker categories exist, those being Community Photos, Enemies, and "No Category". The "Enemies" Category contains only a single image, with it being a sticker titled "Sackthing & Friends", and the sticker itself being a low quality version of the image that appears when booting up the game on the PlayStation 4/5 versions of the game. There is no official way of obtaining the sticker.
- The Contraptions and Vehicles categories of the Decorations tab only contains content from The Incredibles Level Kit.
