Characters are story-related creatures who appear throughout the realm of LittleBigPlanet. These characters tend to be Creator Curators, or antagonists like The Negativitron, or characters like Newton who guide you through levels or creates obstacles for you within the Story Mode.
Original characters created in LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet PSP and LittleBigPlanet Karting were flat 2D characters made with the Tools & Objects from Create Mode. This also allowed players to remake or make their own characters in a similar way. When LittleBigPlanet 2 came along, every character (except the Negativitron) in Story mode appeared as Sackbots much like Sackboy, enabling these characters' costumes to be unlocked and wearable by Sackboy or used as Sackbots again. This was continued throughout LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet 3 with addition of characters like Toggle having their own custom looks & animations. There are 31 total story characters in the LittleBigPlanet Series.

| The main character in the LittleBigPlanet series is "you", or in other words, Sackboy.
The Sackperson is often referred to as a hero as he is mainly responsible for the destruction of the main antagonists in the LittleBigPlanet games. The Sackperson is smaller than other characters, either because they are a child or at a young age, though it is more likely to be the case that they are just small in stature. Not surprisingly, they have appeared in every game to date. In LittleBigPlanet 3, Sackboy meets some new friends to help him explore Bunkum: Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop. |

The Narrator[]
The Narrator is the voice that guides the player in most LittleBigPlanet games. The English language narrator is Stephen Fry.
However, in the Move Pack, he is replaced by Morwenna Banks. Stephen Fry only appears at the very beginning to tell you that he has to leave, because Susan got peanut butter stuck to her mouth. There is yet another different Narrator in the LittleBigPlanet 3 tutorials; the voice is unknown. A lot of LittleBigPlanet players did not like his voice, so it's likely he will not return in the future.
Susan[]
Susan is the Narrator's fussy cat. She is mentioned constantly, and also appears in the tutorial videos of LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3 and LittleBigPlanet Karting.

The player meets many characters in Story Mode. Most can be unlocked and placed in your own levels, and they can be unlocked from the level The Collector's Lair.
