This page lists the various glitches and errors that can occur while playing any of the LittleBigPlanet games.

LittleBigPlanet[]

Weird Death Glitch[]

Go to the moon, add an object and electrify it. Go to hover mode and go above the electrified object. Hold "Hold to Retry" in your Popit while falling to the electrified object. When you hit it, you will seem to shoot up, then fall out of the world, a strange death animation that doesn't appear under any other circumstances.

Stuck in The Darkness glitch[]

Go to The Darkness, and once you reach the part where Don Lu's Dog falls in the pitfall, quickly grab on to him. You will see the Collector grabbing onto the dog, without saying anything. Next, get on the skull elevator and, if you're doing this correctly, you will see the dog floating next to the skull. Get on the dog and get down by jumping off. The Collector appears again, but this time he says his line. He, and you, will be trapped in the level, as the Skull elevators aren't moving. The only way to get out is to restart the level or go back to the Pod. You can also get stuck in the darkness by taking off all of the fur from Don Lu's Dog using the Sticker and Decoration Edit Tool. Once you reach the second highest platform, the lever that moves it will not work.

See Through Fire[]

If a player sets an object on fire, places glass in front of it, and looks through the glass, they will see the material and any stickers placed on the material, as if the fire effect was not there in the first place.

Broken Pod Controller[]

When the player plays Story Mode for a long time (1+ hours) and returns to the Pod, they can no longer access the Pod Computer. This glitch can be fixed by exiting the game and re-entering it.

The Wheel of Death[]

This now-patched glitch was caused by grabbing a wheel that was attatched to a Motor Bolt going at maximum speed. It caused you to die and stopped you from spawning anywhere or using the Popit. Note that it only affected the player who grabbed the wheel, other players were unaffected.

Swim in Air[]

This was a rare glitch where, if you restarted a level or returned to pod whilst diving in water at the same time, you would swim in air. This has been reported once and is now patched.

Black Popit[]

This is a rare glitch where, if you have a guest playing with you, and you reassign their controller, their Popit and bubble colours may be completely black. LittleBigPlanet 3 eventually added a real black Popit.

Permanent Black Popit Tutorial[]

Notes:

    • Make a backup of your current profile
    • You’ll lose all progress

Steps:

    1. Make a backup of the profile you want the poppit on.
    2. Go to XMB and go to “Game Data Utility” and delete “[the profile you want the poppit on] LittleBigPlanet Profile.
    3. Create a new User.
    4. Open up LittleBigPlanet with that new user.
    5. Once in gameplay, change controller numbers to any other (you can do this by holding the playstation button and selecting “Controller Settings” and changing the number on “Reassign the Controller”) and always log into Guest until the guests popit is black (if you get the black popit, go to step 8).
    6. If you’ve exhausted all possible numbers, then switch to another one until you exhaust the checkpoint and have to replay the level. Once back in the level, repeat steps 5 and then 6 until you get a black popit.
    7. Now that you’ve got it on a Guest, remember the number that Guest is on. Switch to another account and wait until the player with the black popit disappears.
    8. Now that that’s done, switch your number back to the number with the black poppit but this time sign into the account you want the black poppit on, for example the user you made a backup of and deleted their profile.
    9. Now hopefully that account should now have a black poppit, if not, go all the way back to step 2.
    10. You’re not done yet, now playthrough the tutorial (the reason for this is so the game saves your profile).
    11. After the tutorial is completed quit game and change user back to the one you put the black poppit on.
    12. OPTIONAL: Make a backup of that profile, making sure not to override your file with all your progress.

Grabbable Glass[]

This glitch was removed with a patch. The player would have to make something out of Sponge, turn it into Horrible Gas, and save it with Capture Object. Then, they would have to paste it in again from the "My Objects" page and unlethalize it. The result would be an otherwise inaccessible material that looked like glass but could be grabbed.

Plasma Material[]

Before the Plasma tool was added in LittleBigPlanet 2, the original LittleBigPlanet contained a glitch allowing you to create materials with the property of plasma.

Property Exchange[]

This removed glitch allowed players to take the physical properties from one material and put it in another. This was done by placing a material, then changing it to Horrible Gas, using the Material Changer on it, and finally unlethalising it.The result would have the properties of the first material but the visuals of the second. While the glitch was patched, existing materials were never fixed, and therefore can be found as prizes in some community levels.

Tie Skipping Softlock[]

If you lose all your lives in Tie Skipping (which isn't normally possible except by using the "Retry" option repeatedly), the "you have lost all your lives" message will display, but with no text, and you can't choose any options, thus softlocking the game. This glitch has been Patched.

Stretching Arms[]

This glitch is most common when playing bomb survival levels on single player. When playing, if a bomb explodes close to you without Killing you, it will make you arms stretch out, it also makes you let go of whatever you're grabbing.

Mid-air grabbing[]

In a bomb survival level on multiplayer, its possible to float in mid-air. This works like the stretching arm glitch, except it lets you float in mid-air while using your grabbing animation, because you are grabbing but there is nothing there, you can do a 360 in the air.

LittleBigPlanet PSP[]

Infinite loading screen[]

A level corruption glitch sometimes occurs that causes a specific level to not load. Instead, when it occurs, the loading screen stays for an infinite amount of time, no matter if it is being edited or played. Even when published, the level is permanently corrupted, people will be unable to play it and they will have to quit the game.

It is commonly reported that the glitch occurs when using Turbo! Pack level material such as Dirty Metal, and is also stated to occur sometimes when using other DLC materials as well.

Intermittent Crash[]

The game is not very stable, and can unexpectedly crash when in the edit mode. Abusing copying objects can cause a crash. When the game crashes on PSP, the system will lock up completely, and after about ten seconds the PSP makes a strange noise and shuts off. On PS Vita, when the game crashes it instead shows an OS error message and the game shuts down.

Changing to play mode and back is claimed to cause corruption that can cause the game to no longer be able to load the level without crashing during the loading screen. If it is corrupted in this manner, it stays like that and can no longer be edited or played. It will lock up in the middle of the load and turn off the PSP. So then the level will have to be deleted. Publishing the level after it is corrupted in this manner won't fix the issue for others.

Copy Rotation/Crash[]

It is possible to rotate an object while using the copy object feature, which normally doesn't permit layer changes or rotation until the object is placed and edited using the Popit Cursor. However, this glitch is generally useless as it doesn't allow for moving the object when the glitch is activated. If this is done for too long, the game may crash.

Extra Layer Glitch[]

It is possible to gain an extra background fat layer for use. It is a watered down version of the PS3's and PS Vita's infinite layer glitch. It is sometimes named the TomBurk Layer Glitch after its discoverer, TomBurk. By placing a fat layer object in the back layer and a thin layer object in the front most layer, and capturing the two objects, it is possible to while placing the object to press the L button to switch layers, which causes both objects to be shifted into the same rearmost thin layer, thus "gaining" an extra fat layer. It is also possible to emit the object which allows it to be edited normally.

The game can crash while doing this, especially if an attempt is made to directly paste the object from the Popit menu instead of an emitter. [1]

Moving Gas Material[]

Make a block and then gas it. Put it in the air then go to the Popit Menu and pick a material in the material changer. Turn the gas into that material and it will still be gas, but it will look like the material that you made it look like but going down.

LittleBigPlanet 2[]

Pod Intruder[]

This is a rare glitch that happens during a multiplayer game. It is unknown how many players are needed. (In this example there were two.) When the server boots all players out of a multiplayer LittleBigPlanet 2 game, In a rare case the other player can see what looks like the host's Pod and you may see the host's Earth out of the Pod window, but the Pod Computer is not accessible. This is caused by the common server disconnections in LittleBigPlanet 2 and it failing to load your pod.

There is a similar glitch in LittleBigPlanet 3 that happens when the game diverges while in the host's pod. It stays for 3 minutes the most (10 seconds minimum) before redirecting you to your own pod. You can save the host's pod decorations during the glitch on rare occasions.

Sticky Entrance[]

'Sticky Entrance' is the name given to the glitch when a guest account enters a level in create mode, and cannot access anything within the game (hover/unhover, use popit, trigger emotions, etc). This can be fixed by exiting the level or switching the level into play mode.

No Sound Glitch[]

This glitch occurs randomly when you position the movie camera or move logic in create mode, it removes all of the sound in the game, and the only way to fix it to quit the game and re-entering it. Or you can wait a while for the sound to come back.

Floating Sequencer Bar[]

If a sequencer is in a play state during play mode, and Player 1 un-pauses then pauses the level before the bar gets to the end, then continues to make the striped rectangles of the sequencer smaller - the sequencers glowing bar will begin to float mid-air.

Sackbots Attached to Items[]

Place a Sackbot, then place a block of material and try to glue it to the Sackbot. The material will get stuck to the Sackbot. The best material to do this with is Hologram as it does not weigh the Sackbot down.

Plasma Sack[]

First, go to the moon. Then, put a sackbot. Get the plasma danger tool and put it on the sackbot. Make the plasma any color. Go to the sackbot's tweak menu and go to the costume selector. Save the sackbot with the plasma. (Optional: You can put an outfit on it first.) Go to your costumes and the first costume will be the plasma costume. In your popit, it even has the plasma. Put it on and unfortunately, you won't have the plasma on you.

New Era Glitch[]

The glitch occurs very rarely, and in case your sackboy cannot spawn in levels, thus making the game unplayable. This glitch was patched.

Sticker Cutter Glitch[]

On LBP2 you are able to take a material and put a sticker on it, start using slice in dice and cut through the sticker at least once then go outside of the lines of the sticker and cut, then have a friend (Online or local) use sticker cutter on it and then you can slice and dice the air, bringing it back to the material and then an edge will create a glitch material.

Crab Walk Glitch[]

If you hold on to a grab-able floor and repeatedly click the left analog stick, your character will eventually look like he's ducking like a crab and as long as you hold onto R1 you will walk like a crab. Another way to do it is with 2 players. Have player 1 grab on to a grab-able material and then have player 2 delete it. You should now be walking like a crab.

Sack Fish[]

A rare glitch first found in LittleBigPlanet 2, causes any ordinary Sackperson to breathe forever underwater. Along with the glitch, the X button is completely disabled when under the surface of water. The causes of this glitch is completely unknown as well as the cure being unknown. It may also be possibly done by jumping onto the water and, while in mid-air, pause and resume to open the popit and suicide. But do not hold it forever in which you will fall in the water and survive. You can also do it on the Moon. Make a new level with water in it. Make something high enough that you can do the glitch. Now do it in play mode. (you can do it in create mode if you want). Now see if you breathe forever. Sometimes it works in a way where all you do is jump in (if you're the lucky one with the glitch) and it happens.

Twist Glitch[]

The Twist glitch, found by GlitchMaster7, allows objects from the Goodies Bag to be rotated at special angles. Normally, objects can only be rotated in a circle, always facing the front. The Twist glitch lets you rotate the objects sideways (3D rotation) by using a special Close-Level Post. The Twist glitch tutorial can be watched on YouTube.[1]

LittleBigPlanet Karting[]

The First Person Trick[]

The first person trick is a camera trick which is used with the "Game Camera". Bring out the Game Camera. Set it on an object in the level. Add a spawn point. Now, carefully position the camera to the steering wheel of the kart. (You need to be using a certain kart for this to work. Other karts will not work), set the springiness to 0. Add a requirement (Track, or arena), and then test. Just be aware that your character's head can be seen, and you can sometimes see through your kart. (Depends on the position)

LittleBigPlanet 3[]

Player stuck on top of Pod Glitch[]

This glitch causes randomly in create mode, especially when gluing objects near your Sackperson, your character won't move anywhere, if your Sackperson tries to move in create mode, it will start spinning or twitching like crazy, and the next time you start up LBP3, you'll be stuck in mid-air in the tube part where your Sackperson spawns, and you can't access the Pod computer, making the game un-playable, and the only two ways to fix this glitch is either Delete your profile or Import a backup. Though sometimes falling in to a Velociporter may fix this.

Way 2[]

Also referred to as spawn pop cancer. When you get back to your pod, you rarely have an infinite looping tube sound and you do not come out of your tube. Restarting the console or game might fix the problem.

Visit Mode[]

This name was made by users Bethany2010g and Ethan2013h. After your game got diverged and try to rejoin, You go to the users game but you only see what they are doing, no spawning, and you're out of bounds. Restarting the console or game might fix the problem.

Wear Toggle's Costume on Any Other Character[]

This glitch causes you to wear Toggle's costumes and skins on any other character, with savable results. First you go to moon and get a Sackbot. Make it a Changeling, and make one form the character you want the costume on, and the other a Toggle. Which ever Toggle you choose, you get the opposite costume on the character of choosing. Capture your Sackbot as a custom character and become it. When you are Toggle, put on a custom costume of choosing, but at a catch: it must put a costume on both Little AND Big Toggle, such as Ballerina, Fluff McCain, Cheerleader, etc. and change back. You will have the costume, kind-of. You will be a glitched blob with their body everywhere in a "stringy" mess, which can be fun to troll other people with. Place on a tail if you are Sackboy, and your costume will be appropriate. Place and take of a costume piece from every costume piece section, aside from skins/materials. Then you will have the skin on, aside if your costume did not come with a skin. You will have the skin, but misplaced and with bad lighting.

Popit Items Disappearing[]

This glitch happens randomly, it temporarily removes your Popit items, however it's not permanent as the only way to fix this glitch is turn off and on Advanced Create Mode, and also if you got to the highlithed objects page,it will show the highlited things so being it unique accesible way to popit things.

Invisible Player in Pod Glitch[]

It is only currently known to happen to Swoop, but going to Popit Puzzles, then exiting, and quickly going to, and play a community level, finish it, return to Pod, if player 2 is Swoop, Swoop may be invisible, and partly in the floor. if you carry someone as Swoop, the game will freeze.

Glob Little Toggle[]

You can turn Little Toggle into a strange blob surrounded with a cube of the skin it is wearing. Place on Big Toggle: Dr. Maxim head, Dr. Maxim beard, Superhero Top, Superhero trousers, and Ballerina shoes. Place some stickers and decorations on Toggle, turn little, you will be blank. Place Ballerina eyes on. Save the glitch as a costume and turn back big. If successful, Big Toggle will not be able to turn back little, open it's popit, or shake his belly. Restart the game and now you have a costume of glitched Little Toggle that you can apply, and a Big Toggle that isn't limited. To undo, you can take off the Ballerina eyes, or reset your costume.

Ziggurat Spawn Killing[]

When opening The Ziggurat from the map, the player is spawned and drops to their death repeatedly. When accessing the Ziggurat by finishing other levels, it is glitched and unplayable.

Hover Mode in Play Mode[]

Turn into a changeling Sackbot, then equip a Jetpack and press L1. You will be in LittleBigPlanet 2 Hover Mode, with the sound, and you can speed up by holding X. You can play a level with the glitch it here: https://lbp.me/v/qvgeqzh/trailer?p=1&l=12

Loading Screen of Death[]

You must have more than one player for this glitch to happen. There are 2 ways to do this glitch. The first is to replay a level 4 or more times and exit it, there is a chance the game will diverge and all players will have a never-ending loading screen. The second way to do this glitch is to play an overheating level and there is a chance while exiting this glitch will happen. This can be fixed by closing the game and starting it again. This can be prevented by making sure your costumes and pod are not too complicated. This glitch may also randomly happen in singleplayer, where on lower-end devices such as earlier models of the PS3, if you attempt to exit a level, it will load forever. This glitch is not very helpful, but can be a pretty funny prank.

Custom Characters Anywhere Glitch[]

This glitch allows you to have Custom Characters anywhere you go. To do this glitch, you need a Character Changer, Sticker Panel, a Button, a Timer, a Opacity Tweaker and a Game Ender. Set the Timer to 0.5 seconds and hook up the button to it, then hook up the Timer to the Game Ender. Next, you hook up the Button to the Character Changer. Make sure the Character Changer is NOT a Custom Character, but instead one of the default characters, for example, Sackboy. Next, make the Character Changer and Sticker Panel invisible. Finally, either set up your Character, making sure it's the same type of character, like a Sackboy that flies, through the spawn point or another Character Changer and press the button in play mode. Made public by Wades39.

Horrible Gas Sackbot Glitch[]

speaking of custom character glitches, there's a horrible gas sackbot glitch. To do this easy glitch, you need a sackbot, and a danger tweaker. First, go to your moon, get a sackbot from the tools bag, then place it anywhere in the level, then open the sackbot's cricuitboard. Second, get yourself a danger tweaker (set to horrible gas) and place it inside of the sackbot's circuitboard, and capture your sackbot as a custom character. And lastly, pause and unpause and redo, or unpause and redo when its already paused. You should now have your custom character looks like your custom character has a distorted version of the Rocket Rotator which caused your custom character to get killed when touching the ground. However, if you're not on hover mode, then unpause and redo and getting killed, your custom character's hovering animation rotation will become distorted, and can't play.

Create in Pod[]

This glitch allows you to use Create Mode tools in your Pod. Be careful with this glitch, as you may accidentally break the Pod off its string. To do this glitch, go to My Moon and create a level. Do not place anything in it, save and exit the level. Then, make the level a sublevel and back it up. Create an Adventure, import the level into the adventure and play it, once you get into the level switch to create mode. You will be hovering above the pod. Unhover, dephysicalize the pod and rephysicalize when it you're in so you don't fall through the floor. You now are in create mode in your pod! To get out of create mode, go to the adventure, edit the level, then exit the level. This glitch will only last for one playthrough before you having to redo the glitch even if you save the pod. However to redo the glitch, you only have to go into the adventure, play the level and switch to create mode, and you're automatically back to creating in pod!

Another way to do this is to go to an Adventure Crater on your Moon, exit out and quickly press start. It will say Return to Pod, then in Pod, it will change to Change to Create Mode. Select it and you will be in Create Mode in Pod. Both versions of this glitch have been patched.

Multiple Skins[]

To wear multiple skins on LBP3 (Moon Only) then you need to create a little logic tool. Take a piece of sticker panel, make it a little bit small then have it use a small player radius (About 15). Then connect it to a danger tweaker (Set to Fire) on the sticker panel. Then take two velicopters, one going into the sticker panel and one facing towards it a little bit close, (about five or six sackbots in between). Then simply run into the one wihtout fire and then it will teleport you to it, you will survive, run again (no stop) and when you die pause and unpause then undo. Now your skin will be normal sackboy, use the zombie torso, legs or some face stiches (Abes/Sally) or other pieces that will edit your skin. (The four I mentioned are the most noticable.)

Popit Material[]

Originally you were able to take out a decoration then someone can drop with their popit over it and pick it up and copy it, copying what holds your decoration. That was patched, but a bypass was found. The bypass is using an emitter and use emit by zone and put it where you are holding your decoration. Then when you press X, in the emit zone you will see a copy of the material, where a friend (Or second/third controller) can duplicate it by dragging popit over and pressing L3.

Forever Spinning Swoop[]

Play Cloud Caravan, if you avoid getting sucked in a tube Swoop might infinitely spin. This can stop by entering a pipe. This is less of a glitch, as the microchip for the pipe thinks you're still in the pipe, so you keep on spinning until you exit a pipe.

Popit Puzzle planet in Prologue Map[]

20170411 153614

For some reason, the Popit Puzzle planet might clip inside the Prologue map. The reason is unknown, but you can fix it just by returning to the pod.

Save Data Corrupt[]

This is a glitch that happens, just happen, there's a lot to cause this glitch. Normally, it's just your profile, but it could lead on to all of them. While there's no way to stop it, you can delete your profile data, but it could happen again. I deleted my save data (all 3), and after that, there hasn't been a glitch. - EscarockyImp

Spazing Sack[]

This glitch can happen when doing the "Horrible Gas Sackbot Glitch" in which your custom character that is grabbing on a climbable material, will spaz out. if you do this while on hover mode and falling pressing the down d-pad, and pressing R1, the game crashes.

Community in Pod[]

Sometimes, the Community screen can be still seen activated when you are not on the pod computer. You can fix it by pressing the square on the pod computer again.

IMG 20190921 184214

Invisible first layer glitch[]

This glitch can happen by like going insane on your moon by spamming it with bombs and then use objects and dissolve and then place those objects and materials of your choice to the first layer. If you did this correctly, the objects still have physics but they are invisible!

No sound multiplayer glitch[]

It occurs very oftenly, when you join another person or another person joins you, while playing a level no matter what kind of level, music will turn off. This occurs so oftenly that if it doesn't happen the player is lucky

Costume Reset[]

Whenever the player restarts a level, sometimes their costume will be reset to default.

Bypass DLC Locks[]

This glitch allows you to use any DLC costume piece (including Rare content such as the Beta Vest and Bug Blaster) even if you don’t own the DLC itself. To perform this glitch, you will need a Character Changer, Sackbot and a player who has the DLC you don’t have. All you do is have the player with DLC is create and capture the Sackbot that has the outfit then set the character as that Sackbot you will change to. Once you have transformed, save the outfit to your Popit and now you will be able to use the DLC outfit without even owning the DLC.

Vulture Ruff Texture Error[]

Vulture Neck Ruff Texture Error

A comparison showing an error in the texture for the Vulture Ruff, left is the intended LBP2 appearance, with it being completely white, right is the bugged appearance in LittleBigPlanet 3 PS4 where it has black stripes.

A texture error exists in the Vulture Ruff neck costume piece from the Even More Animals DLC on LittleBigPlanet 3. It is intended to be white, as seen in the LittleBigPlanet 2 DLC page for the item as well as in LittleBigPlanet 2 itself. In LittleBigPlanet 3, the costume part has strange black stripes which do not match the original, intended design.

Community Genres Menu Glitch[]

Sometimes, the names for the genre sections may appear, such as "Driving," "Cinematic," and "Fighting," when first accessing the community menu instead of the correct community section names such as "Hearted Levels," "Recently Played," and "Queued Levels." Accessing the community section again corrects the names.

Phantom/Disappearing Object[]

Sometimes when undoing while using the Material Changer, switching the material of an object using the active tool may cause it to lose its physical properties and objects can start falling through it. If a bolt is placed on the object before this is done, it can cause the object to not be selectable anymore, and to outright be deleted when undoing after the glitch is used.

Multiple games[]

Sackbot Costume[]

(LittleBigPlanet2, LittleBigPlanet3)

This simple glitch enables you to become a Sackbot, all you have to do is go into Create Mode and get a Sackbot. then go to the Custom Costume and save the costume, this glitch enables you to get the costume without Story Mode.

Intangible material and objects[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

Place a un-protected brain on any object or material, before jumping on the brain (causing the object to disappear). However, before it disappears, Pause using the Create Mode UI, and copy-paste the object/material anywhere in the level. The copied item should have no brain remnants left, and should should have no physics applied regarding Sackboy. Once un-paused, the original object should disappear - however the copied item will not.

This glitch was first discovered back in LittleBigPlanet, but an easier LittleBigPlanet 2 and LittleBigPlanet 3 glitch has been found, where you place a piece of logic containing any logic that has an active strength and a destroyer set to fall apart. At that split second before it disappears, pause and copy the object. The object will not be affected by bombs (if it previously was), and cannot be collided with in any way by any object, unless that object is another material. This glitch can apply to all objects that doesn't automatically destroy itself when it hits the ground, and can have logic attached to it.

Headset List Glitch[]

(LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3)

If you have used a headset or microphone with the Playstation 3, you will most likely be familiar with this glitch. This randomly occurs when playing online without your microphone/headset plugged in, where the list of players using microphones/headsets will incorrectly include you in the list, even though you are not using anything of the sort. I only know instances of this to happen in Little Big Planet 2 and 3, but it's possible that it happens in more of the games.

Extra Layers Glitch[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

In almost all LittleBigPlanet games, you can create a layer glitched object yourself. This glitch allows for materials to span across hundreds of layers instead of the default three or sixteen. The player cannot access these layers, however can interact with the layers existing in the 3-layered play-space. This glitch has been officially recognized by Media Molecule, but has not been removed from the game due to the potential for the community.

Spinning Sackboy[]

LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2

It is possible to bolt an object to Sackboy in Create Mode. Get a block of Dark Matter, put a Motor Bolt on it, and position it in front of Sackboy so that you hear the "bolted" sound. Sackboy will now spin around on the bolt.

Invincible Sack[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

Go to your moon, place an emitter in an empty level, set the emitter to emit an impact bomb (Make it really big), and let it drop. Now stand in the layer the bomb is emitting at. Depending on the settings of the emitter, you will not die. The bomb still blows up, but you're not dead. Try jumping and making it blow up with your head. You're still not dead. Note: Do this on metal or stone.

Bomb Hop Glitch[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

Get an emitter and set it to emit an impact bomb at a force 50 and every 0.1 second. Unpause it and drop any material on it, but instead of blowing up, the object will be propelled away. This sometimes can happen to Sackboy, but it must be timed properly.

Non-killing spike[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

First, take a spike and increase its size, then get a block of metal and increase its size also. Push the block of metal on to the big spike. Then delete the metal block and make the spike smaller again. Lastly, jump on it and you will not die if you did this correctly.

Bolt on Sackboy[]

LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2

Put an object any size or shape in front of Sackboy. Then, attach a bolt to the object, making sure your Sackperson glows faintly blue. If you did it right, it will stick to your Sackboy and stay. Note that this glitch can cause levels to become unplayable, and has been patched in LittleBigPlanet 2.

God Glitch[]

LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3

This glitch allows people to use Create Mode tools (such as the Popit Cursor, Save Object, etc.) in Play Mode levels and Pods. This was done in LittleBigPlanet 2 by adding the tool to the "Personal" menu in the Popit and accessing the tool in a level/Pod via the Personal menu. The LittleBigPlanet 2 version of this glitch has been patched, but the LittleBigPlanet 3 version the glitch is currently unpatched via the unused developer code that they forgot to remove. It was supposedly patched, however some videos state that it still works if you do it quick and precise.

A similar thing can be done using the "Custom Characters Anywhere" glitch. This requires a Sackbot, an Emitter, a Popit Powerup Tweaker, and a Popit Powerup. Place your Emitter on the Sackbot. Then, on the Popit Powerup, make sure you can use the Popit Cursor, and place the Popit Powerup Tweaker on it. Change the settings so that you can tweak it. Then with the Emitter, select the Popit Powerup as the object to emit. Turn the Sackbot into a custom character, and then do the "Custom Characters Anywhere" glitch. Your character should start spawning Popit Powerups that are editable. The downside of this glitch is that you cannot select/edit any objects unless they are meant to be used with the Popit Powerup.

Pod Glitch[]

LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3

This glitch allows you to put objects, materials, stickers and decorations on your Pod in Create Mode. It is used by searching levels with the name "Pod Glitch" and capturing the prize and placing it in Create Mode. Then, you can add things to your Pod. When you are done, you save the pod as an object then return to your Pod. Then, select the Pod Decoration menu, and the customised Pod will be in that menu. If you select it, you'll be able to interact with the things you placed in the Pod. LittleBigPlanet 3 has another way to create in your pod (see "Create in Pod Glitch").

Flat Scoreboard[]

LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3

Go to an empty level, and place a Scoreboard. Place a Tag on the Scoreboard in the middle on the bottom of the wafer thin "board". Then, while holding the R2 button, select the tag, then select the scoreboard. Now let go of X and then let go of R2. Press L3 to copy the Scoreboard and it will be flat, but you won't be able to place it down.

Invisible Dark Matter[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

This is used a lot to make sure people don't go out of the boundaries of their level. The invisible dark matter is probably the most frequently used and popular "glitch". This is very simple to do. If you make Dark Matter or Rubber the smallest possible, it will turn invisible. This can't be done with the grid as it is not small enough for the material to go invisible.

The glitch is likely caused by the rounded edges of the material, as when shrunken too far it is impossible to correctly render it. When shrunk to a certain level, the middle of the material is thinner than the front and back.

Invisible Sackboy[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

In the Pod, grab the host, then, get the host to go on the computer. The other Sack person will be grabbing the air. This also happens if you grab someone in create mode and they go into Hover mode. Another way this can happen is in your Pod. If someone got plasmafied (another glitch) and when he plasmifies someone, the person will turn invisible. (Except for his shadow) A way to get cured by the effect is to enter a level or restart your game.

Deep Freeze[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2)

'Deep Freeze' is the name given to when the player has placed too many 'complicated' objects within a small area. The game freezes, and the only effective method fix it is to turn off your console.

Tools Bag Glitch[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2)

This glitch occurs when two players are in Create Mode, and Player 2 attempts to open the tools bag. Sometimes, Player 2 will become stuck on the first page and cannot interact with the UI.

This can be fixed by having Player 2 turn off their controller and then turning it back on or by pressing L2 or by spamming all the buttons until you switch pages.

Glowing Skeleton Costume Glitch[]

Hqdefault

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3)

To perform the glitch, you reset sackboy, then, you need to go to your My Moon, and tag one of your levels (or a blank one), and go into create mode. Hover above an electric trap on pause. Drop down, and just before Sackboy/Oddsock/Toggle/Swoop touchies the hazard, press play, undo, and redo. Do this over and over till you get the costume. Another way to do this glitch is to electrocute your sackboy then press left then right very fast and if you did it right you should have a very bright version of the Zombie Boy skin. To keep the costume, it must be saved in "My Costumes". The glitch most likely occurs because, when being electrocuted, Sackboy "auto-equips" the glowing skeleton costume because it looks like a skeleton. Picture of the glowing skeleton is to the right.

LBP3

It is impossible to successfully do the glitch in LittleBigPlanet 3 with procedures from the previous games. To do the glitch in LBP3, you have to mimic the original procedure, except you don't redo at the end of performing the glitch. It is an easier version of the glitch that can be consistently achieved.

Attempting to do this glitch on Oddsock, Swoop, or Little Toggle will reveal that the Sackboy material is used on the other characters for the glowing skeleton while dying to electricity, resulting in a bone arrangement that is not logical for the character. It seems that Big Toggle doesn't show an electricity skin upon death.

See-through Scoreboard[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita)

Put a Scoreboard in your level (create mode) choose the glass material and put it in front of the scoreboard. You can then see through it to the background of the level.

Glassy Vision[]

(LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3)

This is a common glitch that usually happens in a multiplayer game with usually 3 players. Randomly after playing a level the glass material will be overlayed on the Pod giving a glassy fish-eye lens effect through the whole pod, It is unknown if all the players in the multiplayer game see the effect, But what is known is that the host can not see the glitch.

See-Through Head[]

(LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3)

To do this glitch in LBP2, open your Popit menu, go to Costumes, put on the Sofie hair, then get as close to your sackperson as possible, then go to stickers again, hover the popit over your body, press L1 to turn yourself, and you will be able to see through the head. To do this glitch in LBP3 you must have the Uncharted DLC, go into create mode, open your popit, put on the Nathan Drake Hair, cover it with two different color stickers. Then, spawn a sackbot, tweak it, swap between the player it copies rapidly and then unselect the sackbot and open the popit and select customize your character as fast as you can. You should now have a invisible head.

Broken LittleBigPlanet 1 Things on LBP2/LBP3[]

(LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3)

Though community levels from the original LittleBigPlanet can be played with LBP2 and 3, rarely some levels don't work properly. Normally, these broken levels use a lot of complicated contraptions. They are perfectly playable until a roadblock prevents players from continuing the level. For example, a door won't open like it should or a boss fight never triggers.

This is due to a glitch with Logic. It appears that LBP1 switches which have been inverted, such as tag sensors, sometimes fail on LBP2 and 3. For example, in LBP1 a level creator plugs a lever to a light bulb. Normally, the player must activate the lever to turn on the light bulb. However, the creator tweaks the lever to be inverted, so the light bulb now stays on until the lever is activated. Though the lever remains inverted and connected to the light, the light bulb is off in LBP2 and 3.

Also, some Logic that has been set to invisible in LBP1 is visible in LBP2 and 3, such as tags and tag sensors. The glitch is minor. If you change your background on LBP3 to one of LBP1,it rarely or randomly it sends you to the middle of the level annoying the player.

You can actually have LBP1 logics have their original models even tough you are in LBP2/3,it´s very simple just capture a LBP1 logic in a LBP1 level in LBP2/3,also if you put those logics in a microchip,it automatically turns into it´s normal model of the recent games.

Tilt Glitch[]

(LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, LittleBigPlanet 3)

The Jetpack has a bug which when selected along with another object can cause an object to rotate and tilt along three dimentions instead of on one axis as it normally does. This affects all objects except objects made using materials, though it distorts the lighting of the latter. In LittleBigPlanet PS Vita this also affects material made objects, and attempting to show the back of such an object using this glitch can cause the system to crash and show a black error screen.

LittleBigPlanet 2[]

Broken Teeth[]

In the DC Comics level pack level A Chemical Overreaction, the chattering teeth enemies break when you try to play the level in LittleBigPlanet 3. Instead of staying in place, they flip around. Keep in mind that there are a few prize bubbles that require you jumping off of their brains to get, and their brains move with the teeth.
