Logic process example2

A Circuit Board being used.

Circuit Boards are electronic boards that are featured in LittleBigPlanet 2 and later LittleBigPlanet games. These are used in Microchips, Sequencers, Music Sequencers, Controlinators, Sackbots, and Animation Tweakers.

Circuit boards were first advertised as a method to make logic circuits that don't require an excessive amount of magnetic switches, dissolve material, buttons, and other physical switches to work, and when combined with the new logic tools it became possible to make logic that doesn't rely on physical objects to work in the first place.

They're a rather important part of LittleBigPlanet's Create Mode, as they allow players to add multiple pieces of logic that can be hidden in create mode.

Uses[]

Apart from serving as condensed logic gates, Circuit boards have many more uses:

  • Making "upgraded" Sackbots.
  • Making logic gates easier.
  • Adjusting objects, such as grabbability, etc.
  • Linking Direct Control Seats and other items to multiple items using the same configuration for every item.

Trivia[]

  • The Music Sequencer and Sackbot have circuit boards not of the normal possible sizes. When they're resized, they snap in both dimensions to a normal size, the former automatically resizes and thus resets when a Sequencer Instrument is placed on it.
  • The Animation Tweaker strangely uses the Music Sequencer's circuit board design which has musical notes on it, despite the former not being related to creating music.
