The Bear is a minor character in LittleBigPlanet. The player first encounter him in The Frozen Tundra, where he says the Collector has kidnapped his friends and family. His family plays a role in the Collector's level "The Collector's Lair", where they give the player a key to get into the lair after being saved. He also bids good luck for the player's fight against the Collector at the end of the level.
